STEP 3 -

Once Air Atlanta Helicopters, Inc. receives the deposit, we will send you a Letter of Acceptance into the program and issue you an I-20. He/she will take the I-20 to the U.S. Embassy and receive the M1 Student Visa. There will be a class start date on your I-20 - you are not permitted to begin training earlier than 30 days before that date.

STEP 4 -

When the student has the M1 Student Visa, they will provide Air Atlanta Helicopters, Inc. with an arrival date. At this time a student affairs representative will discuss your housing needs and work with you to provide a suitable option based on your budget.  A housing deposit will be required prior to arrival. If Air Atlanta Helicopters, Inc. is not notified with 30 days notice, you will not have housing once you arrive. The housing portion of the course is not refundable. If for some reason the student ends their training or is dismissed from the program, the cost of housing is not refundable.

STEP 5 -

Upon arriving in Atlanta, GA, an Air Atlanta Helicopters, Inc. employee will pick you up at the Atlanta International Airport and take him/her to their student housing. You must arrive Monday - Friday from 8am - 6pm to be picked up. If you arrive on the weekends, please make other arrangements or call Air Atlanta Helicopters, Inc. and we will make arrangements for you to be picked up.

STEP 6 -

Once you get settled into Atlanta, Air Atlanta Helicopters, Inc. will provide TSA approval which can also be done in your home country. Previous information was mailed prior to this form being sent which describes in detail how to apply for TSA approval. If you request TSA approval upon arrival in Atlanta, Air Atlanta Helicopters, Inc. will guide you through the process. This usually takes 5-7 days while in the U.S. You can register for TSA approval at www.flightschoolcandidates.gov. Once approval is granted, the student will start training. The final deposit is made 60 days after the student begins training.

STEP 7 -

Training will begin once we have copies of the M1 Student Visa, TSA approval and money on account. Training will include ground school and flight training. The student will be assigned to a Flight Instructor for training.

STEP 8 -

Each student is required to be at school 5 days per week with 2 flights taken per day - weather permitting.

STEP 9 -
When the student has completed the Private Pilots License, he/she will then proceed to the Commercial Rating Course.

STEP 10 -
Once the Commercial Rating is completed, he/she will graduate from the course. The student will have the option of continuing on with the Certified Flight Instructor Course. Once the student completes the additional training, any funds on account will be refunded to the student.
